TEACHER'S

Dear students,

One of you told me that when Mr. Ting was trying to re-seat you according to your class-number order, he said you are the most“troublesome”class. I didn't tear that. Did you hear that? But even if I had heard that, I think I would not have felt anything special because Mr. Ting is Mr. Ting. This is his style. I have been his colleague for eight years and I know a lot about his personality. He is Very“cute”; he is very responsible; and he is very stubborn.

I know that some teachers are complaining about our class, saying that our classmates make too much noise in class. I trust that they are telling the truth .I know it is difficult to make quick changes but it is my responsibility to say it once more, “Please keep quiet in class; please be considerate; please think about other students' feeling; please be nice to your teachers; please be co-operative; please try harder to make yourselves a better class.” I don't expect quick changes. I just want you to improve, little by little. I don't mind that other teachers think that“my class”is the worst class but I will feel sad if I cannot do anything to help you change for the better.

I don't think severe punishments can bring about real changes. No, I really don't think so. I believe that only true love can bring about real changes. As I am terribly lacking in love, I don't think I'm qualified to talk about this. But I would like to share with you one of my poems from my book-The power of Love:

People tell me to behave myself.

They say they don't want me to go to hell, and yet from the bottom of my heart, I feel their words are just too harsh.

Why don't they show me a little love, and hold back all their threatening stuff?

May I have your mercy, Sir?

Say no more of scary curses.

They can't keep me from going bad.

They just make me hate you more instead.

Love me , kiss me, hold me tight, though I can't change overnight.

One day perhaps I can find the reason why we should refrain from wine.

No more smoking; no more fights.

Trudy blessed with Heaven's light.

Dennis

●re- organize√

●re-write√

●re-say×

●re-think×

●If I hear that , I will not feel…(表明可能发生的情况)

●If I heard that, I would not feel…(表明不太可能发生的情况)

●If I had heard that, I would not have felt…(表明事情已结束)

complain about…

●I trust somebody. =

●I trust that…= 我相信……

不要混淆other和another:

其反义词是:change for the worse

bring about解作“导致”,跟lead to和result in的意思相近。

●There is a lack of…(名词)

●I am lacking in…(形容词)

●I lack…(动词)

I lave

qualification to…×

a little love = 一点爱(正面说法)

LANGUAGE

Semi-colon

EXAMPLE

He is very“cute”; he is very responsible; and he is very stubborn.

EXAMPLE

…but it is my responsibility to say it once more, please keep quiet in class; please be considerate; please think about other students' feeling; please be nice to your teachers; please be cooperative; please try harder to make yourselves a better class. …
